1. The Sidebar displays a Login-Out/Register option. Click the “Login” link.
2. You will now see the ASI-Brighton login screen. Click the “Register” link at the bottom of the screen.
3. Enter a Username (required). Pick a Username that you can easily remember or one that you use for other web sites. Once you register, you may also use any nickname (instead of your Username) for identification on this blog.
You may select a Username that will keep you anonymous. Some suggestions are: Your first name + last name initial (John Smith = JohnS) or “Bri-Taxpayer123″ where 123 is your house number. These approaches should make your “blog username” unique which will allow other people to address comments directly to you within the ASI-Brighton blog.
Again, you will have the option of using a nickname for identification so we suggest that you simply pick a Username that you can easily remember or one that you use for other web sites.
4. Enter your e-mail address (required). Again, ASI-Brighton will NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, give your e-mail address to any other party.
5. Notice the “Check here to Subscribe to e-mail notifications for new posts.” This box is checked by default. See the notification: “A password will be e-mailed to you.”
ASI-Brighton will e-mail you a password for your login to this blog site. The e-mail will be titled “Wordpress@ASIBrighton.org. This password can be a bit complex…so we suggest that you write it down. You will be asked to reproduce this password the first time you login. You will have the option to change this password to one you can more easily remember.
6. When you get the password, login again to ASI-Brighton with your Username and the password that was e-mailed to you.
7. You will then see your Profile Page where you may change your password to one you can more easily remember. You may also enter a nickname on this page for your identification on this blog. Be sure to click the “Update Profile” button at the bottom of this page when you have completed your updates.
8. Next to the “Your Profile” link at the top of the page is a “Subscriptions” link. Click this Subscriptions link.
